If you are picking up a rent a car at the airport is quite simple. Just take the "General Cañas Highway" also called Interamerican highway ( In road map is # 1 ) on the Alajuela - San José or West - East direction. When you have about 22 Km. ( 20 min. ) on this highway you begin entering San José City. You have to continue until you find the first stop light since you leave the Airport area, on your right side you'll see the NISSAN dealer in the corner, please TURN right 5 blocks, then look for the restaurant El Chicote, located almost at the end of the Metropolitan Park La Sabana, you will be driving in "Las Americas Avenue". From the Chicote you have to go 1 block north (right turn) 25 mts. west (left turn) and 2 blocks north (right turn). You can also follow the Hotel signs.

BY TAXI

You can take an Airport Taxi (Orange color) or a normal taxi (Red color with a yellow triangle in the doors). Be careful, some taxis have tell our guests that Sabana B&B is closed or that is located in an ugly area or that is not a good hotel just to take our guest to other places that pay to them a commision, because of this avoid contracting services outside the airport. There are also Informal taxis that costarican people call Pirate Taxis, is not very recommended to take this kind of taxi on your trip because any problem there is no plate number to identify it. If a taxi doesn't know how to get to our place tell him that is close to the Nissan dealer or Chicote restaurant, in our spanish web you can find the address in Spanish.

 

WHAT IF I GET LOST?

Please call us inmediatelly from a restaurant, bank, museum, gas station or any other public place, we will send one of our vehicles to meet you and show you the way to the BEST B&B in San José.
